Father christmas came to town...

Yesterday father christmas came to our little market town to turn on our christmas lights..he is very good to us to fit us into his very busy schedule but he manages to do this every year!
He has helpers too...& i dont mean the elves!! No...father christmas asks the dear little children to design a christmas card..then picks his two favourites..the little ones that have designed the cards get to help father christmas to turn on the christmas lights...but first the rainbows (little brownies) sing some christmas carols in the bandstand in our local park which is at the end of our street....which is were the grand turning on takes place...i must say the pics i took do not do the lights justice..it is really very pretty. T he high street looks even nicer with all lights up both sides of the town and at the top the lovely christmas tree sparkling away with white lights. i will get round to taking pics of the town..there is also a little nativity scene by the tree...

After the grand turn on..there was a snow machine & christmas music...which the children loved...people were dancing..my friends little girl thought it was great fun..so we all had little boogy under the falling snow...

So today while still in the festive spirit i made the christmas cake...which is in the oven cooking as we speak...it smells lovely...filling the house with a lovely warm spicey aroma...

So we all had a stirr & made a wish...even love of my life & of course we all had a taste...
While listening to christmas music, good old nat king cole...

Next time i will show you the cooked version...hopefully it will still look as scrummy & not burnt to a sinder!! Just my mums to make now...a smaller version.
