the highlight of my london trip....

approaching the 'noel coward theatre', st martin's lane..
the wonderful cast...

of 'calendar girls'....

anita dobson,my favourite.....

cast & characters.....

they each were a month of the calendar...

me outside posing, hoping for a part!!....

at the stage door....
this lovely lady signing a autograph is jill baker who played 'annie'

this is jack ryder with his back to us arriving ,who was in eastenders...

& this is jerry hall in the floral dress & lovely long blonde hair...

& in her shades is gemma atkinson from hollyoaks & recently 'im a celebrity get me out of here', the men will remember her!!....

& this is myself with the lovely 'anita dobson'....
who you will remember from 'eastenders' as angie watts...

myself,anita & mr h....
i have known anita since i was seventeen, which is quite a while ago now!!.... anita is a super girl & was ab fab in calendar girls.....

there was another theatre behind the noel coward & while we were there we were nearly stampeded by people all of a sudden rushing towards this chap in the shades & grey jacket...whos that i ask a stranger..jude law she replys...crumbs i thought..i am afraid i dont know what he was appearing in..

a review of the show...
well my friends this was the highlight & main reason for going too london....to see the wonderful 'calendar girls.....& what a fab show it was too,the humour was great even though as we all know it was based on a sad & true story... the show started in april & runs through too october, when it started it had a different cast,in july it was replaced with this cast, which personally i think was the best.it had a great cast:anita dobson, gemma atkinson, jill baker, june brown, sara crowe, jill halfpenny, jerry hall, will knightley, richenda carey, delia lindsey & neil mcColl.
june brown as we all know & love plays dot cotton in eastenders, she was great, hilarious infact, even june stripped off,you would'nt think she was 83 thats for sure!!...jill halfpenny sings live & has a great voice. sara crowe you will probably remember from the philladelphia adverts, she was funny too...they were a great cast & as always anita puts her all in,anita was one of the main leads, you did real good girl!!....
the noel coward theatre was a lovely little theatre at leicester square,it was the first time i had been there, here is there web site incase you want to take a peek, there is a video to watch, but it is the previous cast: http://www.noel-coward-theatre.com/ i recommend it to anyone,i hadnt laughed so much for ages,i didnt want it to end. mr h enjoyed it too....& they do great icecream in the interval... so thankyou mum & dad for a lovely birthday present..i could do it all again!!...
AND ITS TRUE THEY DO STRIP OFF,BUT ITS VERY CLEVERLY DONE,YOU DONT SEE ANY NAUGHTY BITS.......
P.S the film is on UK GOLD at 8.00pm,bank holiday monday!
