Simply Shells...

Sea shells, sea shells on the seashore...
I adore shells,so many different sorts all beautiful in their own way & all made by nature...which makes them even more special...
These two are from a favourite cove of ours in cornwall..

This dear little sea urchin i think i picked up while in norfolk...these are so delicate it was a miracle that it made it home in one piece.

The following shells i collected when i took my trip down memory lane to mersea island last weekend...

These are the shells from the oysters which is what mersea is famous for...they come in all sizes...these had other shells or fossils attached to them...

I just love the tones in colour....

I have shells displayed all over 'snowdrop cottage'...along with seaglass another passion of mine & items made from delightful driftwood...

A simple display but so pleasing to the eye...

I thought the seashells might bring a bit of sunshine to such a wet miserable sunday,a typical bank holiday...dont you think?!!
Please pop by next week as i have some news to tell you & a RAFFLE for you to enter to help raise money for something very special & close to my heart...
See you then...enjoy the rest of the weekend...xx

  2. Shells are beautiful, there are so many different kinds. When you were young ,did you put one to your ear and hear the sea?
I have some teeny ones that I collected on a beach in Norfolk.I put them in a dish in the bathroom.I wish I lived by the sea.

  6. I always collect shells and pebbles- that's why my luggage is always over the limit on the return flight!!- but they are some of my most treasured things from the wedding, reminding me every time I pass the dresser of walking hand in hand on the beach collecting shells together.
I'm glad you seem to be getting back on a more even keel
