A trip down memory lane...

Dear All...
Thankyou once again for all your kind comments...well the last week has been spent deep in thought & walking basically after travelling down to cornwall for julie's farewell last monday.
We travelled down on the sunday & had to return home monday as mr h had work commitments & unfortunatly not everyone is so understanding.

I have spent most days walking the countryside were we live & enjoying the sunshine too...love of my life's little legs are now quite a bit shorter, bless him!
On saturday i decided to take a trip down memory lane & go too west mersea island, which is were my friend julie & colin lived for a while...i felt i may feel nearer to her. i went & saw there dear 'little barn' & rembered happy times we shared with them there.
Then i set off for a walk along the stoney beach, looking for sea treasure & enjoying the warmth of the sun.

Julie was a very talented artist & seascapes were her favourite subjects to paint & was surrounded by inspiration in mersea...wonderful sea & boats.

Tidal moorings..
Anchors away...

This poor little boat looks like it has been forgotten about..

Masts on the mud flats...

Heading out to sea...

Sand,sea & sun...

Buoys...

This little boat brought a smile to my face..'happy 2'...

House boats...

Parked up on the jetty...

Through the reeds...

Lets set sail...

On the beach...

Oyster catchers on the shore...

Waiting to be set free...

Too the caostpath....

I came home with warm happy memories & a bag full of sea treasure....x

  4. Oh Heidi, I have been pretty much absent from blogland myself lately and am only just catching up. I am so sorry for your loss of your dear friend. How sad and what a huge part of your life is now gone. The memories will get less painful and eventually bring smiles once more, but it will take time. Let the tears flow heidi. Thinking of you xx
