To loose a friend....

I am feeling very sad & blue at the moment....as on easter sunday after a long brave battle with the most awful disease 'cancer' my dear friend julie lost her fight.
Julie had been so very brave & had fought all the way. I feel so sad...it is so hard to imagine not seeing her face again, hear her voice or being able to pick up the phone & talk about the latest goings on...we shared some passions. One of them being cornwall, along with many others including anything to do with the sea & coastline.
I thankyou julie as you inspired me so much in my life & have made me in many ways what i am & love today.
I will miss you dearly..why do we always leave it to late to tell people how we feel about them?!!

Thankyou for you messages of concern as i have been away from blogland for a while..i will do a post soon with those pics of cornwall.xx

  4. Hello Heidi

I am so sorry to read about the loss of your dear friend Julie.

It is something which sadly our household can relate to. My husband lost one of his friends (in his 30's)to cancer just a few months ago and another friend (in his 40's) has just gone in to a hospice because of cancer, we've been told he doesn't have long to live. To add to this one of my very close relatives has stage 4 lung cancer which cannot be cured. It is a dreadful disease. It is seeing them having to go through this battle which is also hard to bear sometimes.

Your friend must have been very brave and was lucky to have you as a good friend.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Julie's family.

    Take care

  7. So sorry to hear your news Heidi. It takes so many loved ones away. I lost my mum to it five years ago, and its so hard to let go. There is never enough time to say what you wanted to say, and its so very, very unfair on everyone. Take care of yourself and John. Sending you big hugs xxxxxxxxx

  8. Sincere sympathy in the loss of your dear friend. I know what it's like, having lost many family and friends to that dreaded disease.
And so many others are struggling.
I've learned to tell those I love how much they mean to me, sometimes at the oddest moments :) I know Julie knew that you love her, it's not always needed to be said, by sharing joys, passions and friendship LOVE shines through!
    Thinking of you with prayer.

  13. Hello Heidi..
I am so sorry to hear of your loss.. Cancer is cruel and unforgiving, and to lose a loved one to this disease is always such a tragedy. I read your latest post about race for life.. a very noble cause and one I really should take part in myself as I have lost a lot of friends and both my parents to cancer.
Hold on to your memories of your friend.. she will always live on through those.
